Chain-of-Custody
The Chain-of-Custody is the path which products take from the forest
to the consumer, including all manufacturer, transformation and distribution links.
The FSC has established international standards for both forest management and Chain-of-Custody
certification. Chain-of-Custody certification guarantees consumer confidence that products from certified
forests have not been mixed with products from uncertified forests. It permits buyers and retailers to identify
and label products derived from certified forests.
